Abstract
Iran and Serbia are two countries far from each other, and the relationship
between them has rarely been the subject of research by researchers. Relatively
large geographical distance, having cultural differences and the absence of a
common border between the two countries of Iran and Serbia always caused the
people of these two lands to know little about each other. In fact, it can be said
that the only information that was provided to the Serbian people from Iran was
through newspapers. was In this article, we analyze the presentation of Iran in
the Serbian press in the second half of the 19th century. Articles published in
the Serbian press during the reign of King Milan Obernović and King
Alexander Obernović, i.e. parallel to the period of the Qajar dynasty in Iran,
have been considered. The description of the newspaper articles is arranged in
chronological order with special reference to the variety of topics related to Iran
in them.In this article, we examined the way Iran was described in the Serbian
press in the second half of the 19th century (from 1868 to 1903). The Serbian
press reported about Iran in different ways in the second half of the 19th century
In this research, articles from newspapers published in the late 19th and early
20th centuries have been analyzed; These articles can be divided into several
groups and from their division, the amount of information and awareness of the
people of Serbia and Iran can be understood. It is hoped that this research will
