               Abstract

Hesr and Qasr is one of the important techniques of the science of semantics,
which has an important place in Arabic and Persian poetry and prose texts and
deserves attention. Persian and Arabic poets and writers have greatly benefited
from this semantic capacity in expressing concepts and revealing the semantic
layers of the text. This rhetorical approach can be used in the analysis of texts.
Hesr and Qasr, which has always been a part of the topics of science books, has
a similar approach in Persian and Arabic books in terms of definitions,
classifications and methods of application. It seems that this topic in Persian
semantics is completely influenced by Arabic topics. In the present study, which
was carried out using a descriptive-analytical method, the author has once again
reviewed Hesr and Qasr with a fresh look at their similarities and differences in
               Persian and Arabic meanings.
